What we do

Development Nepal works with the poorest individuals and communities in the Sunsari district of Nepal. Development Nepal aims to improve access to essential resources and opportunities, and to help build the knowledge and skills of the communities. We know that this translates into a change in attitudes and practices. Development Nepal is a UK registered charity established in 1999 (Charity number 1085199).
Latest News
Project UB activities are continuing in the 30 communities with which we are currently working, however in June 2013 we are undergoing some fairly substantive restructuring in Nepal of the way our Community Facilitators work to deliver Project UB. As a consequence of this restructuring we expect to be offering a stronger child basic education programme and a stronger holistic overall offering. A further update will follow in July.
Annual Report 2012
The Development Nepal 2012 Annual Report is now available, which details Project UB’s activities in 2012. If you would like further information on any aspects of the annual report please feel free to contact Christopher Kelly (Chair of Trustees) at chris@developmentnepal.org
DN Trek and Project Visit
In April 2014 Development Nepal is organising an inspiring eight day trek in the stunning Gosainkund Lakes, together with a unique visit to the Sunsari district to experience its work in the Terai at first hand. For more details and to express your interest please see the trek page – we look forward to welcoming you in Nepal!
