Phulkumari Majhi initially took a 5000 NR (£40) loan from Ujyalo Bhabisya. She has started a butcher business from this money, from which she earns a great rate of return of nearly 1000 NR (£8) in a week. With the loan she buys a pig from a local village and sells in the local bazaar at Shukrabare for Friday festivals, while on the other days she sells chicken. She is very happy with the business from which enables her to support her family including her 7 children, one of whom helps her to sell the meat at the market on Fridays. She has paid back 70% of her loan to date.
